Just good ole fashion hand drawing... Markers and ball point pens..

When i needed a break from digital design work...caught myself fixated on hot rods and wanting to learn how to draw them with whatever physical medium was in my proximity... What i learned is that hot rods are fun as hell to draw and that i missed drawing by hand...

This week i came across an image that left me in awe....It was the portrait of a redheaded girl, At first i thought it was a photo until i read the description..It was drawn hyper-realistically with only 6 different colored ball point pens!! It inspired me to put the stylus down and return back to good ole fashion scratching...Forgot how fun and challenging it is to draw manually. Heres some evidence....Really considering trying to do a pen sketch a day...

SEMA is right around the corner... it always has me reflecting on the past shows and thinking what will be the next head turner i can create ... I dug thru the archives and to this day i'm still pleased with my head turning concepts that ive been so fortunate to lead design and make a reality. This year will be no different..

The touring wagon body style has been growing on me the last few years....saw alot of them in my recent euro trip.....But it was the 2013 BMW 3series touring that absolutely made me love the touring body style....So i thought i create my dream 3 series by doing some chop work.Enjoy "Lil red riding in the hood".
